falling moonlight silver waves
cold grey sand stone worn by the smothering wind
fading lamplight silver graves
by the sea
names and birthdays carved in ice
dying flowers bow down and worship the earth
names and true love-starved advice
over me
by the sea
and the stars shine freezing i’m blind, deaf,
as the lightning thunders far and away
lighthouse lonely fast asleep
chimes and candles flicker and sing in the breeze
nightmares only run as deep
as you dream
in a stream
to the sea
