lyrics my (awesome) next door neighbor commissioned this song back in 2017. he had friends who were going through a difficult time, and he wanted to share a custom-=made monday song with them as a single.
lyrics welcome back! this one has been percolating for a couple years, and i finally finished it up a few months ago with the dive bomber and string arrangement.
lyrics had this around a few weeks, unfinished. created the outro this afternoon, so i can finally release it to the wild.
here’s something i made out of the divine scraps of other tunes; the musical equivalent of my movie editing style.
i threw together a simple video for “king con.” makes it easier to share in the age of trump. the middle section is from betty boop’s “snow white” and features max fleischer’s creation, koko the clown. the dancing is cab calloway rotoscoped. seemed like it captured the 30s-ness of the bridge, as well as the haunted house-ness […]
lyrics in honor of donald drumpf’s inauguration, i give you “king con.” the only possible upside his unpleasant reign could bring would be the end of the republican party whose graft and insincerity summoned him from the bowels of hell. hail to the thief.

i’ve just completed the final edit of my feature-length video, “up, up, and away.” this project has been in the planning stages since 2011, and i’ve been actively working on it for most of the past year. i’m really excited about the results. the film captures the various emotional states that accompanied a manic episode […]
lyrics this week i’m wearing my influences on my sleeve. i started out with the beatles-esque chorus, which came to me while walking the dog one morning last week. the IV-I-V-I chord sequence also steals from my own “love song,” but the more simplistic melody reminds me of the mccartney throwaway “all together now.”
lyrics i’ve been hankering to do an old-time song since i started up again. i sat down with my daughter’s ukelele while i was watching the olympics and sang the opening phrase first thing.
